Malibu Moon x High On the Hill ’21 filly

This standout filly is by the late, great, and perennial top-ranked General Sire MALIBU MOON, who was without question A.P. INDY’s best sire son. Consistently among the elites, MALIBU MOON is one of only six North American sires with two or more Grade 1 winners in each of the last three years, and one of only four to do so on dirt. Despite being at stud for two decades, MALIBU MOON continues to be one of the most popular stallions at stud for one simple reason: he produces success! To date he has 128 black-type winners, more than 50 Graded stakes winners, and sired earners of over $135M to date, including Kentucky Derby winner ORB (G1), 2-Year-Old Champion DECLAN’S MOON (G1), G1 Millionaires GORMLEY, LIFE AT TEN, CARINA MIA, etc., and top distaffer COME DANCING (G1) whose 114 Beyer and 1/4 Ragozin are both the fastest by a female in North America.

This filly is out of the FUSAICHI PEGASUS mare HIGH ON THE HILL, who was a six-figure yearling and just happens to be a half-sister to a laundry list of super stakes horses, including Kentucky Derby favorite and multiple G1/G2 winner LIL’S LAD, as well as CHEROKEE (G3), ART MUSEUM, and Infanta Branca, dam of INGRASSIA (G2). HIGH ON THE HILL has already produced two winners, plus her up-and-coming two-year-old filly by PRACTICAL JOKE just placed second in early November in her second start at Gulfstream for trainer Mark Casse.
PRICE: $9,000
